I'm a writer. In such a fiercely competitive market, I've sometimes wished for a different calling, but I love it and I can't stop. It's as much a part of me as my DNA.
All my life I've savored adventure, travel and stories of courage, but limited finances and time made me turn to the keyboard. In fiction I find breath-taking excitement, along with hair-pulling frustration when I try to create, on paper, the visions of my stories.
My writer's journey has brought valued friendships with authors who have published dozens of novels, with fellow writers who have finished their first novels and dream of publishing them, and with those writers who have only experienced their stories in dreams and have yet to put pen to paper to write their first words of fiction. I look forward to sharing my journey with family and dear friends, and making new friends with people like you in the reading and publishing community.
In fiction I hope to share my stories with you, and hope you enjoy the special worlds I create.
I'm a Nebraska/Iowa native and Colorado transplant, and I graduated with distinction from the University of Colorado at Denver. My words have appeared in newspaper, television, radio, magazines, songs, outdoor billboards, on a paperweight, a Frisbee and even on a puzzle during my ad agency days.
I've dabbled -- I've been a promotion director, a television reporter, a crude oil buyer, a waitress, ad agency owner, elevator operator, director of my community's annual musical production; a bar maid, tennis captain and a special sections editor for a woman's magazine. No, not in that order. Yes, I'm a Gemini. I currently pen a monthly column on writing and my fiction work has won several national awards. I live in the Denver area with my husband, our two daughters, two Labs and a Don Juan cat.
