Reviewer Comments: If Lord Dante Risande had ever had a problem attracting a female, it was which maid to choose from the many offers he received. Sinfully handsome and kind to boot, he was perplexed by the very lovely slave Gianelle who not only refused his bed, but seemed to hold him in nothing but contempt. When Dante caught her shimmying down a rope in an escape attempt she was less than pleased. At the same time an alarm was sounded that her master, had been poisoned and Dermott’s odious brother was more than ready to accuse Gianelle. With a cloud of suspicion pointing towards her, Dante thought only of protecting her, so bought her then brought her to his castle in Dover.
Born a slave Gianelle longed to be free -- released from the yoke of a master’s whim. While she might have thought Dante to be fine figure of a man, in the end, he would just be another master she’d have to serve, even if buying her had saved her life. In her new life, Gia was set free to do as she wished - a concept completely foreign to this former slave. She would soon learn that in trusting the tender and gentle warrior the love they found would bind their heart’s together in an ecstasy of passion that would let her soar.
Quinn has penned a gloriously sensual and lyrical rhapsody of a love story that is sure to win the hearts of readers. Dante is a splendid rogue who himself became enslaved by the very bold and sassy slave he brought home. Gia, though born a slave had a strong sense of self and presence and was the perfect match to give Dante a run for his money! This is a truly masterfully written and absorbing read, filled with intrigue, passion and fabulous imagery I highly recommend.
