Reviewer Comments: Deidre of the Languedoc is descended from Mary Magdalene; daughter of a high priestess who was shamed when the Philosopher’s Stone was stolen by a magician. Deidre wishes only to restore the stone to its rightful place and embarks on a journey that takes her to Scotland where she comes under the spell of a strange and bewitching ceremony on Beltane; an evening of Pagan revelry and debauchery. Nearly raped at the ceremony, Deidre is rescued by the handsome Gilead MacOengus. With promises of safety, the virile warrior takes Deidre to his castle where scandal and secrets are the normal way of life, it seems. Desire is at the forefront of Gilead’s mind, as well as Deidre’s, but with the suspicion that Deidre may be a Saxon spy Gilead must keep his head and not fall under the beautiful woman’s spell.
If you like the pageantry and drama of days gone by; you will surely fall in love with MY NOBLE KNIGHT. Gilead is a “to-die-for” hero that stands above all others; he is chivalrous, kind and warm hearted, but strong and true to his beliefs. His attraction to Deidre and his struggle to stay objective is a believable and emotional ordeal. The love scenes are romantic and light up the pages; beautiful and poignant at the same time. Fast paced, action packed, and rich in historical detail; MY NOBLE KNIGHT is a fine example of Medieval romance.
